Today I’ve got a free set of French spring vocabulary puzzles because, well, it’s spring! At least in the Northern Hemisphere it is 🙂
French Spring Vocabulary Puzzles
Puzzles are a fun way to get your kiddos practicing vocabulary.
They are also great for independent literacy centers.
If you’d like students to really accomplish independent work, the puzzles should be self-checking.
That allows kids to make their own corrections instead of interrupting you while you’re conducting guided reading, or having a conference with another student.
You probably know how to turn a regular puzzle into a self-checking one by placing numbers in the back of each half so the numbers match, or using colored stickers.
But, with this set I’m sharing today, you won’t have to!
The puzzles themselves are self-checking because one half can only match one other half.
Now, I can almost hear you saying: “Kids are smart and some of them will just go about matching the puzzles without even looking at the images and words!”
I know, I know, and that’s why I’ve also included an answer-recording sheet for accountability if you feel it’s needed.
Just have kids complete the sheet as they go about matching the puzzles, and then you can see their work!
