Today’s post is all about French spring color-by-sound worksheets!
I know it’s not quite spring yet, but who can resist thinking about flowers? 🙂
Let’s take a look at this set of “coloriage magique” printables.
They’re not your usual color-by-number or color-by-letter worksheets.
They’re color-by-sound activities!
French Spring Color by Sound
There can never be enough French phonics practice options in your classroom, but variety is key.
Here’s a fun way to get students practicing their sounds.
More specifically, we’re talking about your kiddos learning and recognizing their graphemes, i.e. the way the sounds are represented in writing.
By following the code at the top of the page, your students will color the parts of the drawing to reveal the hidden image.
I’ve included a variety of sounds, such as, r-blends, l-blends, ou, on, c dur, c doux, g dur, g doux, gn, au, eau, ien, and many more sounds.
There are eight worksheets that are perfect for independent centers. By the way, there are also answer keys, so students can correct their own work.
