French Phonics Color by Code: Non-seasonal Printable Practice
You know that students LOVE coloring. Even big kiddos do.
The thing about color by code activities is that they mix coloring (fun stuff) with critical thinking (important stuff).
In this bundle I’ve created, the focus is on French phonics.
I added a variety of phonics skills your students should practice and get good at.
They’ll be coloring by:
- voyelles et syllabes
- consonnes et syllabes
- sons complexes (2 sets)
- rimes
In the image above, for example, kids should color words including the sounds “OU”, “OI”, or “ON”.
So they would have to color the word “poupée” dark green, the word “roi” orange, and the word “cochon” light green.
These sheets work well in literacy centers, but you could also set up an early finishers’ corner or even assign them as morning work.
You could leave them for supply teachers, too.
I’ve also included answer keys because students can work independently and check their own work.
