Here’s a French lapbook full of engaging, memory-creating activities that will make your students both focus and reflect at the end of the school year.
The completed lapbook will be like a snapshot of each student as they finish school and they’ll be able to take it home as a keepsake, including a message from you.
Let’s take a look at what’s included, shall we?
Oh, and scroll to the end of the post for some fun FREE posters.
(NOTE: everything comes in B&W and color and the flaps, foldables, and other printables can be used to create lapbooks or interactive notebooks. There are also slight word differences to account for the gender of nouns and adjectives, e.g. “quand je serai grand” and “quand je serai grande”)
End of School Year French Lapbook – Cover
The cover displays either a graduating boy or a graduating girl. There’s also a version with a blank rectangle where students can either draw themselves or paste pictures of themselves.
There are many options with slight differences to try to meet all teachers’ preferences:
– B&W versions with boy, girl, no illustration (so students can either draw themselves or paste a photograph), with years 2018-2019, or just with year 2019.
– Color versions with boy (different color hair and skin tones), girl (different color hair and skin tones), no illustration, with years 2018-2019, or just with year 2019.
Those printables can be used as the lapbook covers or as coloring sheets.
NOTE: buyers will get free revised versions every year with updated years.
End of School Year French Lapbook – Message From The Teacher
This is a simple single flap, but what makes it special is the message you will be writing inside the flap. Students can color the cover of the flap and glue it on their lapbooks.
End of Year French Lapbook – Writing Activities
The first activity is a cloze writing task where students fill in their own information to complete the text: “Tout sur moi à la fin de cette année”.
The second kind of activity is a set of writing prompts, but they don’t look like your usual writing prompts – they’re shutterfold foldable flaps. Students will write about their future plans for the summer and what they want to be when they grow up.
End of Year French Lapbook – Mini Book “Mes Souvenirs d’École”
If you have used my Spring Lapbook in your classroom, you know how fun mini-books are! This one is no different.
As I created this French lapbook to be a wrap-up for the year, it’s only expected for students to reminisce and record their best memories for the year.
On every page, students will draw or write about their favorite memories, e.g. the best book of the year, the funniest moment, or something they will never forget.
I always include written directions as well as images to help you assemble the lapbooks, but in case you need more help, check out the YouTube video: Mini-Book Folding Tutorial.

End of Year French Lapbook – Autographes OR Messages De Mes Collègues
Last but not least is the autograph section. You can either choose to make it all about autographs or have students write messages for one another. It’s really up to you. The choice will depend on the level of proficiency of your students, on your time constraints, or simply your preference.
