Do kids need lots of repetition to learn their letters?

If you’re teaching or reviewing the letters of the alphabet, check out these French alphabet centers because you’ll need lots of them!
French Alphabet Centers
Here’s what you want your kids to master by using the literacy centers in this post:
- recognizing lowercase and uppercase letters
- writing lowercase and uppercase letters
- distinguishing lowercase from uppercase letters and vice-versa
- recognizing letters in different print fonts
- identifying the initial letters of words
- ordering letters and words alphabetically
So let’s take a look at each of the five French alphabet centers in the bundle.
French Alphabet Round Clip Cards
These clip cards will get your kids practicing:
- matching lowercase to uppercase letters
- matching uppercase to lowercase letters
- identifying the initial or the ending letter of a word (represented by an illustration)
Print the B&W version on colored card stock to save on color ink (below).
French Alphabet Letter Puzzles
These letter puzzles will get your kids practicing:
- matching uppercase and lowercase letters
- identifying the initial letters of word with the support of illustrations
- fine motor skills
There are three different kinds of puzzles according to the number of pieces: 2-piece, 4-piece, and 5-piece puzzles.
The illustrations, though, are the same in the three sets.
French Alphabet Writing Practice Strips
Tracing uppercase and lowercase letters will make your students alphabet superheroes!
Focus on tracing one letter at a time, uppercase and lowercase, with fun illustrations to support initial letter associations.
Tracing the missing letters to master both ABC order and left-right tracking!
French Alphabet ABC Order Cards and Mat
Your kids will gets lost of differentiated or scaffolded practice to master ABC order by placing the cards in alphabetical order.
There are four sets of cards: lowercase letters, uppercase letters, images+words, and images only.
Place the set of cards of your choice in a paper or plastic bag. Have kids draw three cards out of the bag and arrange them in alphabetical order.
French Alphabet Letter Mazes
Kids will color (or dab, or circle) their way through the letter maze!
There are two sets: one with the letters in one font, and another with the letters in different fonts for extra visual discrimination practice.
Insert the sheets into page protectors to save on paper and remember to have kids use dry-erase markers!
