French matching activity with foldables? That’s right!
This is a hands-on task to make your students to practice French Valentine’s Day-related vocabulary.
And did I mention it’s free?
FREE French Matching Activity: la Saint-Valentin
Traditional matching activities have been a staple in the classroom for years. They’re effective practice and help students associate words to images (or other words).
But why don’t we take this kind of activity further and make it interactive?
The purpose is simple: match words with corresponding images.
The difference is that the images are on flaps and the words are on paper squares that students will cut and paste.
Where will kids paste the words?
“Under” the flaps!
Now, every time students want to remember words related to Valentine’s Day, all they need to do is look for the image on their notebooks and, then, lift the flap!
Give it a try and you’ll see how your students engage and enjoy manipulating the paper like that.
You can use these flaps as interactive notebook activity or along with the French Valentine’s Day Lapbook (see picture below).
If you like the freebie, help other teachers find it by pinning this post or sharing it on FB!
Merci!
