How do you teach students about the importance of protecting our planet? Are you looking for free French Earth Day resources to use in your classroom lessons?
I’ve put together this list of French freebies for “le jour de la Terre” you can download right now.
Keep reading to learn more.
Free French Earth Day Classroom Resources
- First up is a resource I created for you: click to check out this FREE French Earth Day Minibook! See image below.
Kiddos can fold and color the sheet of paper to make a minibook they can carry with them.
It includes question prompts and a words search.
Click here to download it from TpT.
- Next up is a great mini-set of Earth Day interactive paper foldables created by French Frenzy. You can add the paper pieces to notebooks or lapbooks and the prompts will get your students thinking about recyling, saving energy, and more.
- Coloring activities: Madame Emilie has a couple of Earth Day themed “coloriage magique” pages and you can choose to use the one where kids need to color by letter, or color by number. If you’re looking for simple coloring sheets, check out this free set by École et Bricoles.

- Crafts: a simple but eye-catching Earth Day craft is what Edventurous Little Apples is sharing. Gemma from Primary French Immersion includes a bit of writing in the craft idea she’s sharing.
- I didn’t know if I should list the next freebie along with the crafts above or not. Anyway, Caroline Joannette has created an Earth Day “couronne” for your kiddos to colour, assemble, and write on. So cute!
- Looking for DIGITAL freebies? Check out this fun Earth Day-themed interactive PowerPoint game by Fun in French Immersion and this “Trash or Recycling” deck of Boom Cards by French Buzz!
- Last but not least, Plaisirs du primaire has included 4 activities to her Earth Day freebie and I think you’ll find them useful.
